Most websites same mistakes...

As business owners,  we don't know how our website appears to fresh eyes.

We're blinkered.

We're blind to the obvious failings.

Working with hundreds of websites, I've seen the same mistakes time and time again.

They're all obvious. But only once you realise they're there.

And they're all easy to fix.

First impressions

The visitor to a website forms their first impression instantly. With one finger poised on the back button, you have a second or two to convince them they're in the right place.

  • Where am I?
  • What's available here?
  • Can they be trusted?

The headline

Often underused, the headline's main purpose is to act as bait. To convince the visitor to stay, explore and relax. And to keep reading the content, knowing they're in the right place.

  • Am I in the right place?
  • Will I find what I'm looking for?

The navigation

You can't force-feed every piece of information to the visitor. A good navigation helps the visitor guide themselves to exactly where they need to be. Quickly. Easily.

  • Where can I go now?
  • What should I do now?
  • What will answer my questions?
